Flash Fiction Competition
In September, we hosted our 2023 Flash Fiction Competition, inviting teens from 13 to 19 years old around the world to submit their short stories. We had an incredible variety of submissions, from all over the United States and even from countries such as Nigeria. Since then, we have released the winners of the competition. The Wellness Handbook
Over the past two years, since Fall of 2023, we’ve worked tirelessly with the Teen Wellness Alliance to assemble the Wellness Handbook, a 90-page guide packed with practical advice and resources across 7 sections and 28 interactive activities, plus extra hotlines and help organizations.
On the right is the consolidated, professionally-designed 58-page version of our handbook.
Backed up by evidence-based treatment methods, this handbook is a one-stop shop for all of your wellness needs. From navigating relationships to tackling microaggressions, understanding emotions, and managing stress from school, friends, and family— our handbook covers it all!

The 7 sections of the Wellness Handbook are...
1. Stress Management
2. Feeling Anxious
3. Building Healthy Relationships
4. Self-Esteem & Body Image
5. Time Management & Productivity
6. Understanding Emotions
7. Digital Safety & Internet Navigation.
We'd like to thank our sponsors: the Bezos Scholars Foundation and the Fernando Awards Foundation.
Since Fall of 2024, we've hosted seven 1-hour-long in-person workshops at Granada Hills Charter High School. Our workshops are fulfilling experiences for our attendees. Though the International Baccalaureate (IB) community—a small, collaborative space of 180 upperclassmen tucked into our huge campus—comes with its own set of challenges (i.e., heightened peer pressure, perfectionism, and burnout), during workshop days, all these anxieties are set aside. We’ve designed each hour-long workshop session with just the right amount of instruction, along with activities like small-group discussions and meditation exercises. Through lively Kahoot games, positive feedback sharing, and personalized thank-you messages, the tangibility of our workshop series is a breath of fresh air, ensuring its effectiveness and impact.
"My goal in life is to leave the world better than I found it. If our content brightens at least one person's day, I'll be happy. Our goal is to inspire teens to become involved in educating themselves, in advocating for themselves, in fighting for mental health awareness and more inclusive classrooms."
